"You are Loved" Letter
This is a collective letter written for and by youth in Aotearoa, NZ. We asked 1000+ Youth (age 14-17years old) one question:
"What is one sentence you would like to hear when you are struggling?"

"Youʻll be okay , after every dark day is a sunnier morning. We love you regardless of what you’re going through and how hard things feel right now, things get better. You matter. It's ok not to be ok. You are loved and you are enough. Don't let anyone tell you different. You are perfect just the way you are. I love you. Be confident. We may not know what you’re going through but know that you are loved. Don't Leave but Believe. Don’t be afraid to speak up. At the times you feel at your lowest, there is always someone there for you. You are not alone. You are never alone. Although you may not know it, if you choose to leave and give up, you’ll realise how many people needed you at the last minute. Please stick around. Stay. You are more than what you think of yourself. I love you, always. Better days are yet to come. A rainbow ALWAYS comes after a storm. You are loved. Keep getting back up, it takes getting back up one more time, then falling again, to make it. Keep your head up my g. Boys are allowed to cry!!! You are enough and there are people who are here for you. You are loved. Don't be scared it gets better. I appreciate you , I love you , you are enough. I know you can surpass this tough time because you’re stronger than you know! I love you. You are LOVED!!! You've got this, you've already won the race of life, so you have a purpose for being on this earth. Don’t ever forget that you’re loved. Although other people cannot fix your problems for you, it doesn’t mean you can, should, or need to do it alone. I’ve been a victim to suicide and depression, honestly its been a struggle for me trying to push through while life kept pounding me down. I’ve learnt that great things take time to truly see changes I wanted to see. Overtime everything started changing when I asked for help and from then on I have been able to push through my trials and tribulations. NEVER GIVE UP.
No matter what you are struggling with, if it be from your past, present or future struggle you might have to endure, just know the world is truly a better place with you in it. You are perfect in your own way, you are enough, you are loved by many others around you x. Though you are struggling, know that there is help out there…talk to someone, YOU MATTER !. You are loved. You're not alone in your struggles. I love you and you are beautiful, kind, loving, strong, and powerful remember that. Keep on going, no matter what. Learn to love yourself. Keep the things that are important or special to you close, remember you are loved and are enough. Be strong , you will always be loved. Whatever you’re going through, you are not alone and you are always loved!!! Don't be afraid to open up. Just know that you are loved sooo much, I LUV U. No matter what you are going through, know that you are worthy and loved. You are not alone. You are loved and stronger than you may think. The struggles you are going through right now are temporary. The choices you have made in the past do not matter, it’s what you do next that counts. At the end of every tunnel is a light. A bright light that is waiting for you. Keep going <3. Never feel like you are not enough. It is going to be ok, I promise. You are enough. Take it one day at a time. You are never alone! You are loved! You are here at this time for a purpose. You are enough. Everything is gonna be okay . Ask someone for help, don’t be scared to speak. I’m always here if you need. The only person who can decide your worth is you. You can’t let the world define who you are. What you’re going through is only temporary x. You are not alone, you are worthy and you are loved. Don’t be afraid to ask for help. You’re loved. You have a role on this earth we all need you. When you’re in your darkest days, those around you will help give you light. Suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem.
Stay, things may be tough but stay, it’s way better when you push through, “you are loved, you are unique, you are worthy and dont let anyone tell you your less”.You got this. You are loved and know that there is so many people around that can help you, be it your parents, friends, counsellor etc always here for you :) Don’t focus on the past or future, put your full focus on the present. You are never alone, you are enough. Your worth is infinite. Just breathe. You are more than worth it. We care. You’re loved and you’re enough don’t give up if there’s a start there’s a finish so don’t stop yet .Find your personal outlet to help you cope like writing down how you feel or playing a sport or going for a walk or talking to someone. "Don't forget your worth. Life is truly hard, and you are doing an awesome job for always standing up. Don't give up now. You are strong. You are loved. I am here, we are here, and we are here to love you. I will help you get the help you need. You are not alone. You are worthy, loved, important and awesome. Think of the good things , think of the future you could make for yourself. Every difficult road leads to beautiful destinations. You’ve got this. We’re always here for you whenever you wanna talk, know that we all love you and care for you. Anybody capable of love is capable of being saved. Never give up in the face of adversity.You are not alone , everything’s gonna be alright we love you so so much it only takes time, it gets ugly before it can get beautiful hold in there it’s not a forever thing it’s only temporary you’re gonna do fine you’re so strong, you got this. You are confident and wanted. You are enough. You are amazing and no matter what others say or think of you, just know that you are loved, nevertheless. You are allowed to feel. You are more than capable of change and growth.
You are so perfect, and the day you realise it will be the best. YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL IN EVERY WAY! You are loved even if you don’t know it. It takes a big man to love others, it takes an even bigger man to get help. So go get help, even if you feel like you don’t need it. Remember that. You are loved and appreciated. You are not alone, you are enough. You are not at fault. You are enough, you are loved, never give up. Keep moving forward. Please choose to stay. You are loved. Even if you don’t feel it, you are always loved. Read this very carefully: “This too shall pass”. No struggle lasts forever, nor does it last any longer than it was meant to be. These things will come, but you must remember, “this too shall pass. You may feel unworthy, but understand we are not all perfect. Remember that you are not alone! You are loved and cared for by at least one person out there. Straighten your crown! Try to be happy and do something that makes you happy.
Ask for help. There are people who love you. Don’t let what others say influence who you become. Take a breath, stay calm. Music can help you calm down. Wake up with positive thoughts like, “I am beautiful”. Chill! Close your eyes and breathe. If something is wrong, don’t leave it in your head. Write it out onto a paper, or talk to someone about it. Why fit in, when you were born to stand out. There are people who care and love you. Try and focus on positive things. I know that’s hard to do, but really try to focus on your blessings and positive things. It will be okay, keep pushing through. I promise you can do it. Everything happens for a reason - to come and go.Keep going, it doesn’t last forever. Pain is temporary. You can and will overcome this trial. I love you and I am so proud of how far you’ve come. Keep your head up, for him, her, them, and me. The worst storms don’t last long, it’ll be soon before the sun returns :) There are people who care and want to help you. Even when you feel alone, you are not. I may not know you, but I know that there are people who love and need you. You can talk to me.
Hey, I may not know what you’re going through but I want to let you know that you’re doing your best and that you’re doing great. Please don’t keep your troubles bottled up inside, talk to someone… talk to me. I’ll always be there to listen to you. I want to let you know, you’re worth it and don’t let anyone tell you, you’re not because you are in my eyes, Heavenly Fathers eyes and your friends and families eyes. It’s tough growing up in this generation and I feel that, but you are enough. And I will let you know that things will get better for you, I promise. And everything is great because you’re here, keep going, you are doing amazing and if you ever think you’re worthless, you’re not. I want you to know that I get it, and I understand. I’ve been there, been in your position but when it all came down to it, I promised myself to keep my head up. Keep your head up alright. It’s going to be ok, it will be ok. I love you and you are worth living in the world, there’s a purpose for everyone, including you. You are strong, you are loved, You can get through this. I promise. Don’t worry about what anyone says about you. What they say does not define who you are, you are whoever you want to be. It may not seem like it but you are loved for, cared for and supported. You are enough <3 xxx Breathe and know that someone is always there to listen when you feel like giving up. You are too precious to give up. Focus on the step infront of you, not the whole staircase. I know times might be tough but try to find something in your life that you can turn to, to find relief and happiness. "I can do all things". You are never not enough. You are never alone, the lord will always be there for you. I hope you know how precious you are. Don’t try to be someone you are not, just be yourself. Know that you are loved. Run, if you can’t run walk, if you can’t walk, crawl, if you can’t crawl then try get back up and never give up. I believe in you. Don’t struggle by yourself, I got you. Your worth is far more than you know. Be yourself.
Even when you feel alone, you are not alone. I may not know, but there are people around you that need you, they love you no matter who you are, you are one of our people. Keep fighting, don’t give up on your dream, we love you. Take a deep breath because you are loved, you are worthy of love and happiness. You are enough, you are not worthless, you are beautiful, you are worth more than you think. If you are going to ask for help, it’s OK. I can do all things through Christ. It’s ok to feel this way. Always know that whenever you feel alone, know that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ are always here. No matter how much you are holding in, talk to someone. You are never alone, ever. You are perfect! We love you and your family loves you. No matter what you’re never truly alone. When you feel alone, unheard, and unloved remember that Jesus Christ is with you always, He hears you always and He loves you always. He has a perfect understanding of your struggles and suffers with you. He knows your potential and your strengths. He desires to bless you with all he has. Do not be discouraged, lean on him and He will carry you. It’s ok not to be ok just know that it’s alright to open up to other people and it’s all good because you don’t need to struggle in silence. I am so proud of how far you’ve come. Keep pushing, keep fighting. Keep loving everyone even your enemies. You are loved even when you feel you don’t deserve it and you are never alone. Trust God and His timing, be happy. You are loved and appreciated by everyone who surrounds you. It’s ok, you do what you need to do, to feel better. You matter. You are unique, amazing and needed. Uso, I know you’re going through hard times. Know that i’m here. Kia ora Bro, I don’t know what you’re going through but I’m here for you! Pain is temporary and you got this. I love you and so does the Saviour. Talk to someone. You are worth a lot, and just know that you have people with open arms to catch you when you fall or when you’re down. Have a growth mindset. You are loved. Ofas and Alofas. Before doing anything stupid, always remember, you can always talk to someone and if you think they don’t care, trust me they love you alot more than you think. I just want to let you know even though we all go through hard times, the ending will be happy and in your favour. We’re with you. I’m with you. It’s OK to let your emotions out. God knows your struggles. Remember you are loved by many. You aren’t a piece of paper to cut, it’s alright to let your feelings out. I know you are struggling deep inside and that’s not OK. If you are going through something, please just pray and try to express it. No matter what, just remember, you are not weak, you are valuable. It’s normal to struggle and normal to tell someone about it so please talk to someone. We’ve all been through these things. You got this! YOU ARE WORTH IT! You <3 Although I don’t know you personally, I know that you are strong no matter how many times yourself you’re not. Just keep moving, everything will be ok, you are strong. You are not alone, you are amazing, you are loved by Heavenly Father and jesus Christ, this is a quote from you, “In every darkest moment, there is always a brighter day, so no matter what happens keep your head up, stick your chest out and move on, only God can judge you”. Everyone has struggles, you are not alone. You are worthy and have a purpose here. Small things you do can lead to Jesus. There are many people like you and your life costs more than us, we love you. Remember that jesus is there for you and your family love you son. You’re perfect, your worth is infinite and know that you are always loved. You will have a say one day. You will be heard. You are not useless or worthless. If you were done with everything, you wouldn’t be here. You need to come out from behind that mask. It’s ok if you don’t trust anyone enough to tell them your problems, you are loved. I’ve once been in your shoes, so I know what it feels like to have these feelings. Only Heavenly Father knows who you really are because he cares that’s why you are here. Just remember you’re never alone. I Love you. Be safe. We care. You’re not alone. Matthew 7:24-25 You can always ask for help if the weights are too heavy. If your friends laugh at these eights, they’re not the one’s. In times of need, you can always turn to Christ. You are beautiful, head up and keep going. I am so proud of how far you’ve come. Philippians 4:13, and it reads “I can do all things through Christ”, You are not alone and will never be alone. You have much more to life, slip the chapter, lean to Heavenly Father and pray. Let him comfort you. You ain’t alone our Saviour is with you. You got this, keep going. You are worth everything you think. You are always loved and that love will remain always. You might think you’re worthless but that isn’t true. You are amazing and can keep going. God still has plans for you on this earth and you need to trust in him. You need to fulfil what is left for you here. Your feelings do matter, they are important, you should open up. You are wonderful and amazing and still have light to give. Turn your life to someone you trust. Don’t open up unless you want to. You are a light and you should shine like the start that you are. I know words don’t really work when going through some really tough times. And I know this because i’ve been in your shoes but if you start doubting and shaming yourself, I am here to tell you that you’re just worth more in our Heavenly Fathers/Christ’s eyes, more than diamonds. Love you always stranger. Accepting and loving yourself takes time. This world is a better place with you in it. I’m going to be here no matter what, I don’t care if it’s big or small, I'm here. Your feelings matter, you are enough, you are loved, you are worthy. I love you. Don’t let anyone see you different. You are strong, though I may not know you, you are strong. Don’t be afraid to ask for help, you don’t have to suffer alone. You are worth more than you think. Don’t let anyone put you down. I am proud of how far you’ve come so is Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. Never pretend to fake yourself because no one should control the way you should act. Never suffer in silence don’t be afraid to talk about your problems because they are real. You are worth more than you think. You are enough. I know it’s hard but it’s not impossible to talk to Heavenly Father. God loves you, I love you. Although certain challenges come our way and we have the constant feeling that we aren’t enough, just know that we are. God has a plan for each and everyone of us. When I’m feeling down I always remember what my mum told me, Heavenly Father will never give us a trial we can’t handle, keep going. Don’t worry, you’re not alone. There are people who are going through the same thing, we are here for you 24/7. Hi, remember that I love you no matter what.
